Like many countries, there is a deposit on bottles in Denmark. It is, however, quite high here, which makes bottle collecting rather lucrative. If you want to discard a bottle you can place it next to a garbage can... it will be gone in no time.

This lady checked the garbage and headed into the supermarket to cash in.
